The concept of decorating Moscow for its 869th anniversary was developed taking into account the architectural and structural features of the urban environment based on the traditional decoration sites. Renovated Moscow inspired to search for new images to fill the urban environment.

To create a festive atmosphere, new soft forms and largescale structures were used. This approach to decorating the urban environment showed a new city – without unnecessary advertising and retail stalls. Architecture, monuments and green areas, as well as numerous pedestrian zones appeared in a new perspective.

Large-scale lighting and decorative structures were installed in the areas of special urban importance and venues of mass festivities. Dedicated decorative elements were designed for each outbound route; structures of different scale, but of the same configuration were installed, which emphasized the perspective and made the entire space look solemn.

As part of the Moscow Seasons thematic festivals, pedestrian areas in the city center were filled with art objects, elements of vertical gardening and floristry. Decorative illuminated furniture, light trees and pendant light installations appeared there.
